Advisor Training Academic Advising Skill Development Workshops Faculty who advise undergraduates occasionally need to brush up on University policies and General Education in order to keep aberrant of current policies. Others may be new to their advising assignments and would like a basic introduction to advising skills, student development concepts, and campus policies and procedures. Training for faculty advisors is available to department groups and individuals through the Office of Advising and Orientation. These trainings can include strategies for general education advising, approaches to helping students on academic probation, clarification of graduation requirements and campus policies, or may be focused on a particular academic advising skill or individual area of advising concern. Please call 898-5712 to schedule a session with a full-time advisor. |
