MANDATORY ORIENTATION

The mandatory meeting is intended to serve four basic goals:
(1) Registration
Officially register you as a NSE participant.
(2) Welcome:
Give us an opportunity to welcome you to California State University, Chico, and a chance to meet one another. We will want to know something about you and your school. What a great chance for you to brag, without fear of being labeled toxic.
(3) NSE/Chico Policies:
We will discuss NSE policies and regulations and the respective expectations of NSE, CSU, Chico and the participating student. We will clarify our roles and responsibilities. Among other topics, we will talk about academic, financial, personal, housing issues, and of course, we will discuss what there is to do at Chico. We have an Exchange Club and we will hope that you will be anxious to discuss how you may contribute.
(4) Chico:
We will look around your new neighborhood so you will at least know where your classrooms will be located.
To end the afternoon: I will order enough pizza so you may call home to report on a self inflicted altered belly!
