Office Staff
Cheryl Afflerbach Cheryl joined the Advising and Orientation Office staff in October 1986 and became the Office Manager in April 2000. She earned her Associate’s of Arts from Armstrong College. Outside of Chico, she was Department Secretary of the Nutrition & Food Sciences department at UC Berkeley, and a teacher’s aid for an elementary school. Her current responsibilities are numerous and include supervision of advising interns and clerical staff, budget, payroll, personnel issues, assisting with academic disqualification and the reinstatement process. Cheryl also assists with the National Student Exchange program. When she is not working, she enjoys visiting the ocean, reading, walking, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
