Congratulations on your acceptance to California State University, Chico! Summer Orientation is one of the many steps that you will take towards establishing a successful college career. We look forward to assisting you in your journey at CSU, Chico and we hope that you intend to attend one of our twenty orientation sessions!

These sessions are scheduled to run June 16 - July 23 and will provide you with opportunities to meet major advisors, register for classes, take a tour of the campus, and much more! ATTENTION! All newly admitted students for the Fall 2009 semester

You must complete the following steps by the dates indicated or your offer of admission may be cancelled and you may no longer be eligible to attend CSU, Chico.

  • Accept your offer of admission and submit your “intent to enroll” with your non-refundable $200 Enrollment Confirmation Deposit (ECD) or certify exemption by May 1st.  Through your Portal Account, go to the Admissions and Orientation tab and click on “Accept/Decline Admission”.  Please note:  Failure to indicate your acceptance of CSU, Chico’s offer of admission may result in your admission being cancelled.
  • Send all final, official transcripts (postmarked by July 15) to the Office of Admissions. Be advised, if we do not receive your final transcripts and if we are unable to verify your self-reported information with your final transcripts, your offer of admission may be cancelled.

In addition, all first-time freshman must complete the following steps or you will not be able to register for classes at CSU, Chico.

  • Take the English Placement Test (EPT) and/or Entry Level Math Test (ELM) by the May 2 test date or provide the Admissions Office with your documentation of an exemption(s).
