Parking
Summer Orientation Parking
Specific parking lots are designated for attendees of the Summer Orientation Program. These parking lots are at West 3rd and Orange Streets. Another option is the third floor only of the Campus Parking Garage on the corner of West 2nd and Cherry Streets. Please note that parking is very limited so you may wish to arrive early to secure a spot. Please be sure to park only in “G” spots. If you park in restricted parking spaces (such as a blue-marked handicapped space without the proper permit) your vehicle may be ticketed.
Summer Orientation participants also have the option of utilizing City metered parking at the corner of Normal and West 2nd Streets, or in the downtown City Parking Structure at Salem and West 3rd Streets. Both options are a short walk to campus. Be sure to bring quarters as pricing and time limits vary. Click here for a Summer Orientation Parking Map.(pdf)
Handicapped Parking
Handicapped visitor parking spaces require the display of a valid DMV placard or CSU, Chico temporary medical parking permit.

Downtown Bicycle Rentals |
Chico is a very bicycle friendly town! Chico is a convenient community for bicycling, as it is relatively flat and there are ample bike parking locations as well as bike lanes and paths throughout the community. Virtually everything in town is within biking distance (within 5 miles, but mostly within 2 miles). Although bicycle riding through the core of the University campus is prohibited, there are convenient bicycle parking locations around the entire campus. If you didn’t bring your bike with you, you can always rent one! |
