Academic Advising Programs and Summer Orientation
Academic Advising Programs can assist you with academic and
career program planning, and can provide information on the effective use of the academic
resources of the university. The Office of Advising & Orientation not only provides outstanding academic
assistance but also sponsors CSU, Chico's
Summer Orientation program for new students.
Freshmen General Studies Thematic
GST offers block scheduling, satisfaction of most lower-division general
education requirements, a coherent orderly view of civilization, and individual
attention and community within your freshman year.
Freshman Course Link Program
The
General Education Course Link program is designed for first-year students to assist with a smooth entry into university life. Through an integrated
program of study that also has the benefit of creating a collaborative learning community, you get a good start on
fulfilling your general education.
University Honors Program
Our campus offers a wealth of
special opportunities to achieve honors for our
motivated undergraduate students with high grade point averages. These
opportunities range from specially designed courses in general education and in selected majors to many honors societies
to which students may belong.
