Graduate International - Money Matters
Financial Requirements
United States Immigration and Naturalization Service regulations require that international applicants provide the University with detailed information regarding their sources of financial support. Letters of sponsorship, bank statements, affidavits of support or other documentary evidence of adequate financial resources must be on file in order for an I-20 or IAP-66 to be issued. (The form I-20 or IAP-66 is needed to obtain a student visa.)
Current expenses are estimated to be US $24,000 per year and you must show proper documentation as part of your admission documents that these funds are available in either a personal bank account or that of a sponsor.
Because CSU, Chico is a public university supported by the State of California, financial aid is not available to international students. Even with the lack of financial aid, we think you will be pleasantly surprised at how affordable CSU, Chico is when compared to many other private and public institutions.
Currently full time graduate fees (6.1 units or more) are $2166.00 per semester while part time graduate fees are $1449.00 All international students will also incur a non resident fee of $339.00 per unit of coursework. *fees are subject to change due to legislative action.
