Take A Look At The New Faculty Center
On March 26, after Spring Break, your access to PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (aka Student Administration) will improve significantly with the availability of the new Faculty Center.
The CMS CS team is completing a year-long system upgrade, including a significant improvement in the look of and navigation within the system. This web page is provided to let you take a look at the new Faculty Center and the information about your classes and your students it provides.
Accessing the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions application through the Faculty Home page in the Chico Portal.
The current Faculty Home page in the Portal contains a box or “channel” for “Records and Advising” which contains links to specific pages in PeopleSoft. After the upgrade, there will be only one link to the new “Faculty Center”.

The Faculty Center is presented in three tabbed pages:
- The Faculty Center tab,
- The Advisement tab, and
- The Class Search Tab.
The Faculty Center Tab
The Faculty Center tab provides one-stop access to the following information:
Your class schedule;
The Class Roster for each class you teach;
When grading begins, the Grade Roster for each class you teach;
The Advisement Tab
The Advisement Tab displays student academic record information only to approved academic advisors.
Faculty who are not approved academic advisors will see not be able to see student information, as in the following example.
Approved Faculty Advisors will see a list of all student advisees. The display includes a tabular display of positive and negative service indicators (aka holds) and provides a drop-down box enabling the selection of student record data which may be displayed. Note that the “New Drop-In Advisees” button enables Advisors to view student record information for any student the Advisor will help.
The Class Search Tab
The Class Search Tab enables the advisor to search for open classes in the current or impending semester while advising a student.
